Brian Thomas
Brian loves cars; growing up in the 1970's he, like most of us, learnt to read with the Ladybird books, but only the ones with cars in!
As his love of cars grew, his reading material progressed to the Olysager Organisation's 'The Observer's Book of Automobiles', featuring delights such as Goggomobil as well as the Ford and British Leyland fare of the day. By 12, Brian was thrilled to be passed his neighbour's read copies of Car magazine and Autocar, and with great content from journalists such as L J K Setright, John Miles and Steve Cropley, his passion for cars moved into the fast lane.
Calling into car showrooms on the way home from school, to study the cars and pester the salesmen for brochures (which they were only too pleased to hand out) led to the start of a collection that Brian still treasures today. Now Car Club Executive for a classic car insurance company, he knows more than the spec difference between a Cortina L and GL.
